"The Twist"

Ritefully obsessed by this song. It was on the radio last week, and then mentioned it in a blog post. However:

Great, pumping beat that doesn't quit. Sings well. Those old '50's songs are dated, but some hold up really well. Then again, "Puss" isn't outdated by now? The Chub Chex followed that song with "Let's Twist again" (/like we did last summer). The Lessor, by far.
"Lets Twist Again" was used by the Sox in 1984's commercial campaign (they won the division in 1983- we wanted them to win it again and go further), so it was a joke line up until this day. They'd used the old song "Are you Ready" after they actually signed some real free agents for the first time in history in 1981- also a joke song to this day.
