again, my ignorance

Before they killed him on the Ides, The badguy Senators realised that they would have to seperate Caesar from his his homeboy mark Antony. Antony was a robust soldier, and they feared that they would not be able to get to Caesar through Antony. So, the plan- which worked, obv.- was to detain Antony outside the Senate ("Excuse me, mark Antony, can I have a word with you??") when Caesar and he walked into ithe building.

I like the idea that Antony would have stood up and fought with Caesar. Speaks good for his character that these bad guys realised they would have to seperate the two.
