Saw "Under the Sun of Satan", starring my fave Sandrinne Bonnaire and Gerard Derpardue. Not too bad. Sandrinne looked scraggly. My favourite role of hers,in "M. Hire", was maybe a year after this film. She looks so diff in each. Pretty in "M. Hire", ragged in "sun".
The film was mainly about Gerard d. as a priest who maybe incometent. Also - is he a touched by God Holy man ? Possibly. All the villagers think so. His teacher thinks so. Maybe even he does as well.
Laughingly, as I watched, I mocked myself for that self image of myself that creeps up in my mind from time to time.... well, at least I can smile about it now/@ .....
Not a bad film, but maybe not in everyones taste.
