First Flower

Sun Flower's'easy. Summin d'back yard've been planted themselves. Dey's very welcome life -colourful, grand, an' -bestus o'all - d'nittle bitta goldfinches regularly make me yard dere kitchin. Even in times'o' notfull, th' Cardinal birds will alight allright on that dial and munch and spit and flip and chew and skitter and all as well -messe of yellow and green and black and red and colours of all everywhere...
Here dene dere's my suprise - 'looked up one day, an' all I spot is ol' yellowface. Blessed yellow fresh and wet in the sun. Dis'z wonna d'cheap' sunflowers sprung up all by itself 'cause it's under wonna 'd th' feeders. M' special flowers are planted over by de garage -th' giants and th' multi stemmed an' all o dat.
But pride 'o'place goes tomthis mutt - first dialed sunflower 'o'de year.
