Steppenwolf production of "Dead Man's Cellphone" Steppenwolf lets people call in on the AM of the show to get $20 tix, so we planned. Took her daughter, too. Maybe the sixth time in three years I've hung out w/ her. All she does is complain. Never heard anything else out of her mouth. Ever. Good kid, but she's one of those exhausting ones that are about. Don't have much to do w/ her, so she doesn't exhaust me.
The Play.
The Gallo Scale.
Didn't blow me away, but I was sitting forward, engrossed.
It involved a sheepish woman who finds a dead guy in a cafe and gets involved w/ his family because she keeps his cell hone and answers it. Fucked up family. Strange play, strange situations, but it worked. Two acts, the best part was when the Dead Man delivers a siliquoy (sc) to start the 2d half. Brilliant. I love it when y can just sit there and splattr all yr guts out laughing @ one guy on stage jus' talking about the situation. Brilliant.
There are three plays i wanna now go.
"Attempters" by the House - missed its regualr run, but it will be reprised for four days in a fortnite.
Take the kids.
"Esperenza Rising"
Only for the kids.
"Lookingglass Alice"
Third reprise, this 2008 production.
Take the kids.
