Went to one of those all day library meetings @ Harold Washington. It was "Best of the Best", which is an annual program to highlight the best juv. fiction. Its impossibly handy for us in the business, beacuse there is no possible way for us to read all the books being published. It's also great 'cause its time to run into lots of old frenz. Saw M. and Au. Best of, ran into D., a wonderful sunshine sorta woman who I haven't seen in two years. She went with the stated aim of going only half the day and then shopping downtown the rest of the day. She was always so fashionable (the Gap pink coats that were in fashion a few years ago- saw it on her first). And her slacks still fit her parfait. Also saw a stranger who is really no stranger @ all. I saw one of my local library librarians there. Said, Hey Mt. Greenwood, they let you people I here as well? Nice library.
Also, took some of my moms bullog (sp) and fed it to the pigeons underneath the library stop on the El.
