Did miss the Southside Irish parade that woulda been held yesterday. Wonderbar thing for the neighbourhood - if you like a million visitors on a cold Sunday in Mars. I do.
Did miss the million. Planned protests weak- squelched quiet- the neighbourhood loses one of the only dinstinctive things about it ('sides it being my hood of residence and lanigans and Keegans). Best parade in Chicago, I have come to realize. Too bad. Was quiet - no drunx @ 10am staggering Westernwards. Did miss the sluttly dressed drunx - sorta like the whorish Halloween costumes that have become fashionable these past few years (or so - decade?)
